I COMPLETELY agree with OneLifeToGive! And ceruleanstarx as well. She's trying to figure out who she's living for, and ultimately (as we can tell from the lyrics), she's trying to get back to living her life for Christ. I've been praying hard for her. And i'm so joyful to hear that others are doing just the same. It's important that we not only pray for things in our own lives, but to also realize that our prayer can work in the lives on celebrities and others as well. God is POWERFUL and He can and He WILL bring her back to Him. He's so obviously pulling on her heart. I'm praying that she won't just sing about it, but that she will truly take the steps she needs to to get back to loving and living for Him. :) The song (and video for) Wide Awake are another great example that she's finally realizing that where she's at is not where she wants to be nor where she belongs. I believe this also goes a lot deeper involving some dark things.. (illuminati) and i believe she's trying to break free from it. Watch the Wide Awake video very closely and you can see many of the signs. Pray that she can break free from the chains of the darkness in the music industry! God is GREATER than the devil!! |

The first time i ever heard this song, i cried!! I had never heard the story in this way, it's so beautiful. It's the perfect Christmas song because it's telling what Christmas is really about! This song makes you stop and think about Jesus and what He did. The sacrifice He paid. Coming here to earth as a normal little baby, no greater than anyone else, but coming to change lives. To bring us back home with Him. I'm so thankful to God for His GREAT LOVE! We all should be! I mean girls, put yourselves in the position of Mary. Can you imagine someone coming to you and telling you that you're going to have a baby. (Expecially if you're a virgin like myself, this would terrify you.) I sure we would all think that person was crazyyy!! I'm sure Mary was terrified but she was a strong woman to be able to take the task (really a blessing) and bring our Savior into the world. I thank Jesus (as we all should) everyday for His love, His sacrifice, and the life He's given me. There's no way we can thank Him enough. I don't know of a better band to bring this message across than Flyleaf!! They're beast! lol |

Wow, i definitely agree with HighQueenCrystal. I never thought of this song from that perspective but i love what you were saying. It makes total sense. I'm a Christian and a huge fan of Flyleaf and everytime i hear this song i try to figure out what i think shes saying, but until now i couldnt think of anything. But this is awesome!! haha. |

She ate the 'forbidden fruit' and gained all knowledge (in turn devastated the world). 'breathing buried under the weight' could mean the weight of the world (and all her new understanding) was on her shoulders. So even though she started sin and is the reason theres sin in the world today, Jesus died covering up the penalty. So the dead will rise. Psalm 46:10 - 'Be still, and know that I am God.' Multitude of words could be that theres so much going on around us, but He still wants us to listen to what He has to say. Lol, so that was really really long, but that's my perspective on this song. i love it!! :) Flyleaf is such an amazing band and it's so awesome to see that they Glorify God though it all. |

I really love this song! Natasha really puts passion into every line. Like a lot of you have already said, this song describes me perfectly. I've been in relationships before, but never been in love. It's been about 5 years since i've dated someone and every once in a while i get lonely. I just want that someone to sit and talk to for hours, that person who will 'hold' me and 'love me without being told.' A lot of times i doubt that anyone will ever come along for me, but i'm trusting God to bring that one :) I'm almost 20 and i'm trying to find out who i am before i share my life with someone else, but i would lovee to know who it is at least. haha.
