Religion is not the way to go either, Yourname. Religion is full of hypocrisy [the Pharisees as an example] plus the fact that often times, religion is working your way to God. God extended His Hand to us through His Son Jesus Christ. All we need to do is accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and pledge ourselves to loving others. [After saying this, I am Christian, just not what most people expect out of a Christian. :D]
Saying what you did doesn't help anyone come to the Lord. Instead of saving souls you are condemning them to Hell. That doesn't help. |

I myself do not believe in religion. But, [here is where I confuse everyone] I am 100% Christian on fire for God. Confused? Well, religion has always rubbed me the wrong way. Working your way to God, following rules, the hypocrisy and the like, I truly do not believe in that. I believe that Jesus is my Lord and Savior, and He will take care of the rest. And He will. You could see it that way... But DH being a Christian band, I doubt they would put a murderer as a 'victim', that what happened to him was unfair. Look at Zetoois' post, that is from the mouth of the lead singer of Demon Hunter.

I see where you are coming from, but Demon Hunter is a Christian band. It's what they do. And I applaude your lack of curse words. I find it refreshing when someone with conflicting views can state those views without freaking out. Though please capitalize Jesus from now on. You don't really have to if you don't want to, but it is His name, which makes it a point of grammar. Once again, this song is about God. Just look at Nascarguy's post somewhat above yours. He got his info straight off DH's website. |

I'm sorry. I agree with everything there but... Hahaha! I love that verse! I just saw Tim Hawkins [Christian comedian] talk about a signing he did. Someone asked for him to put his favorite verse down... And he chose that! Just imagine shaking hands with someone with "burning loins".

I won't write [er,type?] a lot here. Basically I agree with nascar on the first page, mixed some with rockhopper. It's about crying out to God, He is our infection.
And to the people who constantly use cuss words in their replies... Don't. Seriously. Especially for a song by a Christian band. Whether or not they are metal or gospel. I find that often enough, the people who cuss often are either not smart enough or are just too lazy to think of intelligent adjectives. Here are a few: good, stuff, dislike, cool, awesome, sucks, bad, and fun. Just replace any of these words [or even use Thesaurus.com] with cuss words and like magic, you will sound five times more intelligent.

wwsd? I think you have been deceived. Objectivity is fine as long as you don't take it as far as you clearly have. We are supposed to follow God's will without questioning it. Not to say we won't, we are human, but we shouldn't. God gave us free will to let us choose to follow God without question, not so that we *could* question Him. And Satan being someone we could relate to is just bull. Unless you like relating to a mass-murdering, lying, stealing MONSTER, then that is not correct at all. And you are right that you shouldn't love God because someone told you to. You should love Him *unconditionally* because you *want* to. And if you don't love God because He wants your unconditional love, then you never really loved Him in the first place. And it is impossible not to sin, even for the most devout Christian on Earth. You need to fear if you don't love God and Jesus with your whole heart and have named Jesus as *your* Lord and Saviour, because that means Hell awaits you. Even if you are a "good" person. Oh, and it *is* a way of life.
And to led zeppellin xxx, this isn't brainwashing. If it was, then you would have no free will in deciding to love God or not. We are just living in God and declaring it to the world. Just like how some atheists will stop at nothing to say God isn't real. Besides, if your brain doesn't believe Jesus is the One Way to Heaven and your Lord and Saviour, then maybe it needs a little washing. |

This song was not a song thought up to make fun of Marilyn Manson. It was created to help Matt Thiessen, when he was 15, deal with the fact his girlfriend had lost her way. His girlfriend had been Christian, but she had slowly started turning to secular music, namely Marilyn Manson. Eventually this corrupted her in such a way that she was kicked out of school, out of her home, and into a reform school. This goes to show you all that music does change you, because it is emotion. An example of this is saying you like something, even though you don't, and eventually you will like it. It just works that way. And satan is out there, if not in person, in the evils of the world. |
