I think that this song touches on the idea that if you get too involved in the negative aspects of life, you will get carried away by them and lose yourself. So, "take only what you need from it." It is a family of trees haunted because they are like standing there wanting to be haunted. It is like when are afraid illogically. Our fear wants to grow and be haunted, but we can make a choice to be to pay too much attention. We don't have to drown in all of the scary things in life. |
