Kellie Pickler – Best Days of Your Life Lyrics 6 years ago
I get the meaning, but wow, the narrator is really nuts. It's only a matter of time before she's boiling a bunny on this guy's stove.

Tanya Tucker – Strong Enough to Bend Lyrics 9 years ago
This song is pretty awful. The singer keeps saying if "WE're" strong enough to bend, yet both examples find fault in the husband's actions, and require him to apologized and accept 100% of the blame. There's no "we" in that relationship, only a never wrong wife and a pussy whipped husband.

I've always liked this song, but never noticed the increasing intrusion of the red tide, as you pointed out. Nice work.

Rush – Red Barchetta Lyrics 9 years ago
Yes! That is my interpretation of the song for a few reasons. First, he's just a kid, so he's probably not going on high speed chases w/ the police every weekend. Secondly, "he strips away the old debris, that hides a shining car" implying that the car is buried in a barn. He pulls off the old tarp, sits in the driver's seat and imagines a thrilling drive. Finally, the fire side dreaming line convinces that listener that it was all a fun imaginary adventure. This is hands down my favorite song ever.

Blake Shelton – Neon Light Lyrics 9 years ago
OK song, but the lyrics are goofy. "There’s a neon light at the end of the tunnel. It ain’t all that bright, but even though it’s subtle". That does not make sense. Neon signs aren't really subtle, but if it wasn't bright, then it would be subtle, not even though or in spite of that fact.

Seems like some lazy lyrics, w/ the writer trying to make the words fit and rhyme.

Pretty close, yes. It's warn, not worn, and row, not roe.

Steve Wariner – Holes In The Floor Of Heaven Lyrics 10 years ago
This is probably one of the worst songs ever. Let me understand what the narrator is saying...the kid is sad because grandma's dead, and his mother tells him it's OK, grandma's in heaven and crying so hard it's raining out. Thanks Mom, I feel better knowing grandma is dead AND miserably sad too!

Mark Wills – Jacob's Ladder Lyrics 10 years ago
Isn't it odd that just 5 years after they eloped, the granddaughter is described as hopping onto her grandpa's lap to ask him about her parents? That's something a 4 or 5 year old would do, meaning that Mom must have been pregnant that night, over immediately after. Maybe that explains why she ran away so fast!?

Rodney Atkins – Take a Back Road Lyrics 11 years ago
This is a great song, but Randy Travis sang 1982, not George Strait.
