Not a poor effort at all. It is a strong song, for as short as it is. Feels like it belongs on Sin After Sin album...my very fav of Priest. |

Black Sabbath – War Pigs Lyrics

War is an unwanted necessity. Learning to bond and keeping prosperity on the rise can hardly be done with N. Korea, Russia, a few others and 98% of the Middle East constantly causing problems. Because of their petty hatred and jealousy of the U.S, we MUST BE PREPARED. Can't anyone see the effin common sense of it all?? Jesus man. |

Please remember, some of the old USED to be the young of other wars. War sucks, but it is a necessity because of lots of things. America is the LEAST of this world's savagery. |

Judas Priest – Stained Class Lyrics

Good interp from Bronch too. I interpret as Adam and Eve. "Long ago when man was king, his heart was clean, now he's stained class". "Stained" when Eve bit the apple. "I spit at you apathy, and seducer deceit". Adam or Eve speaking about the serpent's temptation. |

Cool and thought provoking lyrics with great effin music to put it all together. Most of the replies here are great too. One of my favorite all time albums, had it when it first came out as "Epic" kicked my ass and prompted me to get the album. Always reminded me of "Hey Jude" when he first belts out "You want it all but you can't have it". You know....."Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah Hey Jude". And I don't dig the Beatles all that much. Best "War Pigs" rendition ever.....I like it better than the original and I LOVE me some Sabbath! |

Great interpretation. Late reply I know. I bought this cd in 1989 and still listen to it a lot. . Your "key word" reference was spot on.... |

Judas Priest – Dissident Aggressor Lyrics

I never heard the version by Slayer. And you know what? I don't need to. Does that sound ignorant? Maybe. All I know is that NO ONE sings like Halford. The Priest version is the only version.
And, I'm hip to covers. There's a version of the Maiden song, "Fear of the Dark" that is on one of the tribute albums. It was performed by Chuck Billy, Craig Goldy, Ricky Phillips, and Mikkey Dee for the tribute album Numbers from the Beast.
I love Maiden. But this version of "Fear" is the best. |

Iron Maiden – Rime of the Ancient Mariner Lyrics

Just a masterful song by a masterful band. That's the great thing about Maiden....most of their songs are thought provoking and not some lyrical disasters dealing with "love" and "feelings". I got Motown for that. Motown is the goods on that. Bands like Bon Jovi are just God-awful. Any guy who really thinks Bon Jovi is a great band, please come see me for a beatin'. |

Priest's best album, to me...Sin After Sin. The first 9 are their greatest. You can take the rest (although I found Angel of Retribution to be pretty decent).

My friend...this is quintessential Priest. The entire album (I am dating myself) Sin After Sin, is Priest's best. Period. Priest's first 9 albums (including Unleashed In the East) are masterful. I do like Retribution and some songs (some) from the other albums. But, if you want Priest at it's very best, Sin After Sin is the ticket. |
