| From all the comments I've read on how "Plush" is a little kid's stuffed toy, you can see that the writer used it as the title because, from the meaning of the song, the song that the girl is about is like his dear "plush" toy. hey HeartsAtWar and WhisperT0aScream, I'm so glad you guys are using Flyleaf's songs to try to quit cutting. and thanks for your interpretations! I never thought it was about cutting. about "Red Sam", I was thinking that, too! 'cause I used to cut, too. I actually thought it was cool :\ but it's not. thank God I had sense in me to stop, although I wasn't sure why exactly when I decided to stop, 'cause I was still emo [in a bad way] at that time.. it's probably 'cause I used depressing music instead to escape my problems. but I'm not like that anymore... anyways hope you guys are getting better :) |

I think she might not be angry, she is probably confessing to God, "I'm so sick, infected with Where I live Let me live without this Empty bliss, selfishness", especially/with emphasis on the last two lines. "I will break into your thoughts With what's written on my heart I will break, break", is said to the party who doesn't believe her about God or perhaps simply won't listen to her. I believe that the "angry" sound of Christian music is there to make a point, and to complete the song. 'cause you couldn't really feel a song by knowing just the lyrics, and without knowing the ambience of it. |

'cause yeah, I agree it screams Christianity esp. 'cause of the "let your light shine through me" part. I always had a hard time figuring out this song on my own. thank you so much! :) :D |

hey, people, when you saw jvenrick's reply, it was 5 years after. I get why you're saying that but maybe he/she had achieved a better perspective by the time you thought of replying. so I don't think you should be so harsh on him/her. maybe he/she is more mature by now [I can't really guess 'cause I can't see their age on profile]. anyway, about the Christian perspective, I think that Switchfoot was trying to be subtle in this song, 'cause I *really* think they are a total Christian band [sorry if that's wrong grammar, but you get what I mean]. especially 'cause of their song "New Way to Be Human". the song meaning is subjective, of course, but because they are a Christian band it is much more likely to be about Christianity and God. |
