No, you're correct. Even if it is about Jesus, it's a tragic love story, at least from this perspective. The story of Jesus is the most beautiful love story ever penned, even if you are an atheist it should bring out deepest emotions. The story of Jesus is about the son of God, who knowing full well the consequence of creating humanity before even time had begun still saw something in them that he loved enough to create and then later die to redeem. The Church is called the Bride of Christ for this very reason. The story of creation and redemption told in the Bible is nothing if not a love story. I hope you enjoyed it. :D |
