Tool – Maynard's Dick Lyrics | 14 years ago |
HAHA!! i love this part of what you said 'Though I hate to sound shallow, those lines are definitely a turn on of mine. And I'd let Maynard have at me with 10, 560 thrusts for 3 hours, 31 minutes, and 12 seconds. A girl can dream, can't she?' it made me laugh just due to the specific time. haha. and i would have to agree with you on that one(: i would let maynard have me for so much longer though ;) anyways.... |

seriously people, shut the fuck up with DEMANDING that they are wrong. because its an individual persons meaning. thats what tool is about. its not about having a specific meaning, its about what YOU think it is. and unless you hear maynard himself say what the song is about, you dont know for a fact what the song is about. so stop saying that others are wrong. because this song could very well be a joke. but this song could very well have a deeper meaning. you will never know for a fact. |
Tool – H. Lyrics | 14 years ago |
H. by Tool [the title comes from his son, Devo H. Keenan] What's coming through is alive What's holding up is a mirror But what's singing songs is a snake Looking to turn this piss to wine [Hes watching his son being bored, but as hes doing this, hes just seeing a reflection of his past, and his past is trying to change him, and not for the best. the snake is a metaphor for his past] They're both totally void of hate, But killing me just the same The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again [his past is haunting him and telling him what his past could have harmed. but his heart and blood is begging him to let his son close to him] And I feel this coming over like a storm again Considerately Venomous voice, tempts me, Drains me, bleeds me, Leaves me cracked and empty Drags me down like some sweet gravity [his past is tempting him to go back. but he knows it leaves it broken and empty. and that it will only bring him down] The snake behind me hisses What my damage could have been My blood before me begs me Open up my heart again And I feel this coming over like a storm again And I feel this coming over like a storm again I am too connected to you to Slip away, to fade away Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me, And considerately killing me And considerately killing me And considerately killing me And considerately killing me [hes too connected to his son to leave him, and his son has changed him so much, and even when he is away his son is still changing him for the better. and killing the old him] Without the skin, Beneath the storm, Under these tears The walls came down [his son broke down the walls he had built up] And the snake is drowned and As I look in his eyes, My fear begins to fade Recalling all of those times I could have cried then I should have cried then [hes getting rid of thoughts of his past, and when he looks in his eyes, hes no longer afraid of his past. but he hasnt forgotten] And as the walls come down and As I look in your eyes My fear begins to fade Recalling all of the times I have died and will die It's all right I don't mind I don't mind I don't mind [when he looks in his sons eyes, his fear disappears, but he still knows hes gonna die. but he doesnt mind] I am too connected to you to Slip away, to fade away Days away I still feel you Touching me, changing me, And considerately killing me And considerately killing me And considerately killing me [okay i know that my description kinda sucks, but it makes sence in my head. i believe that it is about his son, and how even though his past is haunting him, he is no longer afraid because he has his son, who has changed him. and he can forget about his past now] |
