Exactly. Among songs like It Gets Better and All Alone, which aren't bad songs in themselves, but don't let Nate show off his voice, it's simply fantastic. Like you said, the lyrics are just brilliant. In terms of the best song on the album, though, I think it's tied with Some Nights (though, that auto-tune section! >:( ). |

When she says she had never been on the outside, like crazyinluv said, she meant that she'd been a bit cast off, a bit disliked, but always had friends to talk to, even if they weren't so loyal or fond of her. When she says, "Nobody ever lets me in," she means that she was straddling the line; no one completely accepted her into their group of friends. Her friends betrayed her after letting her hang out with them, and even them, they probably treated her with the slightest bit of contempt, so that never really counted. |
