Miike Snow – Silvia Lyrics 14 years ago
Perhaps it is about drugs...however, I think he's split up with his girlfriend and is comparing the 'end' to death; the end of life. X

The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army Lyrics 14 years ago
It's about drugs. Pure and simple. Cocaine in particular. He's ignoring everyone, what they say, how they try and warn him because he's fallen in love with it. He's addicted. X

Lykke Li – I'm Good I'm Gone Lyrics 14 years ago
I think it's about her making money, being ambitious, trying to make it big, so she can look back on the bad relationship she's had/having and stick to fingers up to him. They say the biggest act of revenge is simply being successful. So she's dreaming about being successful and telling her lover/boyfriend or whatever that one day he'll be sorry for being bad to her, because she'll be a huge success, and better off without him. X

Lady GaGa – I Like It Rough Lyrics 14 years ago
Obviously the phrase 'I like it rough' has sexual connotations but I think it's also about her almost self destructive approach to relationships. She needs there to be some form of 'pain' or 'angst' or 'frustration' at least, within her relationships so she knows it's real. As an artist, her suffering fuels her work, her art. It's also tied in with her use of cocaine before she really made it in the industry. The prom girl who makes herself feel better (wipes her tears) with silver lines, never getting enough, is obviously a reference to her past addiction to cocaine. The more you find out about the artist, the more the songs begin to make sense :) X

Ellie Goulding – Guns and Horses Lyrics 14 years ago
It's 'the screen you sit at permanantly', 'heaven knows' not 'never knowing' and 'I know you've been burned, but every fire is a lesson learnt'. X

Ellie Goulding – This Love (Will Be Your Downfall) Lyrics 14 years ago
I think it's about her being irritated with herself for falling in love with someone that she shouldn't. She knows there will be no happy ending and that it will be her 'downfall', and she's constantly trying to convince herself that the person she wants isn't hers, and owes her nothing, so she shouldn't be feeling so 'emotional' about it. She's basically fighting her own feelings. X

Ellie Goulding – Under the Sheets Lyrics 14 years ago
I think it's actually quite a literal song. She's seen her boyfriend in a fight, and they are having problems in their relationship. She is slowly losing her faith in men, believing that they are 'all the same'. I also think the line about a house made of paper etc is a reference to how they were perhaps both writers (she's been writing songs for a long time). It just seems to make sense with 'your words all over me'. X
