| Yeah, I've listened to this album a few times and this is the first time I've heard the whispering I can think of. Starting around 2:24, for around 7 to 10 seconds, murmuring, probably cursing out the person who raised Maynard's ire enough. People don't write a song like this unless they're offended enough. He took this comment and integrated it in to his own world view and self-reflection and through that lens a lot of hate came back out. There's little doubt the subject at the end of wrath's lyrics here can be said to be the instigator non-grata, but he is only a symptom of a wider systematic dysphoria. It doesn't matter much in the end. Do good, try to anyways, try to enjoy your time here and be compassionate. Don't pollute. Try not to. If this world is a test, even well-intentioned hateful words are a failure. Besides, depending on what definition of 'selling out' we're talking about here, the 501 'boy' might be the lesser of evils. | if you break apart 'mouths water on' with 'fork' and then also 'knife' both separately, it can mean that there are two driving forces talked about, that people salivate and yearn over taking things for themselves, as, what does a fork serve to do? Clutch as much as it can in the grab of one stab. Now if people also salivate over the idea of knives, that is even more to deconstruct or delve, but yeah. Good thoughts. | |

On the "Beauty" version of this, can anyone make out what he says before he begins. It sounds like "Is that Scott on the phone? Tell him I don't want to talk to him" or "don't let anyone talk to him". Can anyone hear? This version is incredible, by-the-by. :D |
