Javelin – Light Out Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Okay, listened to a live version of it (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbeOp5kVqXc) and it's def "isn't everyone just masturbating" as far as I'm concerned. Anyone else hearing something else - let me know. |
Javelin – Light Out Lyrics | 10 years ago |
I think I've got most of the lyrics down right. Not sure about the (?)-part. It sorta sounds like "isn't everyone just masturbating", but... well... yeah. Anyone with thoughts on that? |
Kings of Leon – Temple Lyrics | 10 years ago |
Are you sure it's "IN the temple", and not "ON the temple"? Alternatively, it's "one ON MY temple", I dunno. Surely he's singing about taking a blow to the side of his head for someone? |
Thievery Corporation – Dirty Little Secret Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Seriously, not a single comment?! This song is without doubt one of the most tasteful songs I've heard in ages! |
Daft Punk – Within Lyrics | 11 years ago |
Loved that interpretation! I also hear your story and feel for you - just got out of a 4½ year long relationship myself :) This song is incredibly human considering the fact that it's being sung by a robot. |
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros – Home Lyrics | 11 years ago |
To bad I didn't see this until now... either you've given up on the mix or already completed it. Finding BPM is really easy. Just use a stop-watch and count every beat during a minute. In this particular song, it doesn't matter where you start counting, since it's the same tempo throughout. I just did, and I got it to about 114BPM. |
Blur – Under the Westway Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Such a fucking masterpiece. |
Blur – Under the Westway Lyrics | 12 years ago |
There were blue skies in my city today Everything was sinking, said snow would come on Sunday And the old school was due and the traffic grew Up on the Westway Where I stood watching comets lonesome trails Shining up above me, the jet fuel it fell Down to earth where the money always comes first And the sirens sing Bring us the day they switch off the machines 'Cuz men in yellow jackets putting adverts inside my dreams An automated song and the whole world gone Fallen under the spell... ...of the distance between us when we communicate Still picking up short wave, somewhere they're out in space It depens on how you're wired when the night's on fire Under the Westway Now it's magic arrows hitting the bull Doing one eighty, still standing at last call When the flags coming down and the Last Post sounds Just like a love song For the way I feel about you Paradise not lost, it's in you On a permanent basis I apologise But I am going to sing Hallelujah Sing it out loud and sing it to you Am I lost out at sea, 'til a tide wash me Up off the Westway |
The Lonely Island – The Creep Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This song is so B.A. |
Woodkid – Iron Lyrics | 13 years ago |
CRAPZ! I didn't know there was a video for this song?! Check it out if you haven't seen it (pref in HD), probably on of the photographically best videos I've seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSkb0kDacjs |
Woodkid – Iron Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I also know this song from the trailer to ACR. I read in the comments on YouTube someone complained that they didn't choose a more "epic" song for the trailer. Wow, what a load of BS, because this song is just timeless. Totally relates to the story in AC aswell. Anyways! I also think this song is about soldiers during WWI or WWII, not remembering their families and what not. The lyrics are probably transposable to a lot of everyday situations aswell, but I think that Woodkid intended it to remind of the war. |
Gorillaz – Sweepstakes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Also: I think it's interesting how "form a line" could also be formalin/formaline... A toxic solution of formaldehyde in water. ;> Probably has nothing to do with the song, but the duality of it is just interesting. |
Gorillaz – Sweepstakes Lyrics | 13 years ago |
This is what I hear: Pay day, you're a winner Pay day, you're a winner Keep cool, form a line Scared money, broke money Poor money*, more money So sunny, cloud breaker Sound-maker, wave-runner Wild "motherfunky" drummer You can get it how you want it There's math and there's dealers and players and me They say that they're winners Ok well let's see You pay here, you play The rules of the trade The math of the date The times in the eight What you want, how you like? Aim high, man, why not? Sun Moon Star (?) Each and all of y'alls Mathematics and dealers and players and me They say that they're winners Ok well let's see... Sweepstakes! You're a winner Pay day, you're a winner Keep cool, form a line Scared money, broke money Poor money*, more money So sunny, cloud-breaker Sound-maker, wave-runner Wild wonder, funky drummer You can get it how you wanna 'Who's the winner?' said the dealer Every player 'Yeah me' So you say 'We will see' Player play! Aye, ok Whatcha want? How you like? Aim high, why not? Sun Moon and Star y'alls Each and every, all of y'alls Who's the winner? Yeah me So you say 'We will see' Cloud-breaker, danger beats! Big feats!** Ha! Ok, less eight! Sweepstakes! You're a winner A-haaa... Pay day, you're a winner Keep cool, form a line Scared money, broke money Poor money*, more money So sunny, cloud-breaker Sound-maker, wave-runner Wild wonder, (?) You can get it how you wanna There's math and there's dealers and players and killers and me They say that they're winners Ok well let's see You pay here, you play The rules of the trade The math of the days The times to the eight Whatcha want, how you like? Aim high, man, why not? Sun Moon and Star y'alls Each and every all of y'all There's math and there's dealers and players and me They say that they're winners Ok well let's see! Sweepstakes! You're a winner Pay day, you're a winner Keep cool, form a line Scared money, broke money Poor money*, more money So sunny, cloud-breaker Sound-maker, wave-runner Wild wonder, funky drummer You can get it like you wanna 'Who's the winner?' said the dealer Every player 'Yeah me' So you say 'We will see' Player play! Aye, ok Whatcha want? How you like? Aim high, why not? Sun Moon and Star y'all Each and every, all of y'all Who's the winner? Yeah me So you say 'We will see' Cloud-breaker, danger beats! Fresh plates! Less eight! Sweepstakes! You're a winner Ha! Oh! ... Keep cool, form a line Scared money, broke money Poor money, more money So sunny, cloud-breaker Sound-maker, wave runner Wild wonder, funky drummer You can get it how you wanna There's math and there's dealers and players and me They say that they're winners Ok well let's see You pay here, you play The rules of the trade The math of the days The times and the eight What you want, how you like? Aim high, man, why not? Sun Moon Star (?) Each and all of y'alls There's math and there's dealers and players and me. *might be "Pour money" **I do believe it's "feats", like in Gorillaz feat. Mos Def... ;> I know not every word, or even line, is correct, but I'm having a hard time kinda putting it all into context. Bet there's a lot of expressions and other stuff that I don't know about simply because I'm not english. Not sure what "the times in/to/and the eight/eights" is all about either. Snooker/pool? Counting cards? Obviously about some form of gambling, about how money is everything today, lots of casino references in there. Not sure that's the entire meaning of this song though, that "big feats"-bit got me confused... Might also have something to do with the album in itself. Awesome song anyway! |
The Divine Comedy – The Complete Banker Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Thanks for correcting those bits, I've made the changes in the lyrics! :> |
The Divine Comedy – The Complete Banker Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Oh, and I might add: this song is without a single doubt my all-time favourite The Divine Comedy-song. |
The Divine Comedy – The Complete Banker Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Think I've got the lyrics down quite well, shouldn't be a lot of errors there. As far as meaning goes,I think this song is pretty obvious. Good ol' socialist music! |
