@[CapitalB:16467] This is the answer I want to believe. It would take some extrapolation and imagination well beyond that which HPL left us with. Things regarding Cthulhu, like his origin, mythos and other story parts that HPL was slightly vague about. Not that it wouldn't be easy to do such a thing given all the post-HPL writings concerning The Mythos; from August Derleth, Clark Ashton Smith, a multitude of others and the entire RPG campaign setting. One could easyily do just that, given that non-Lovecraft plethorical canon of "facts" and create a song such as this from those sources. Some mainstream musicians such as Metallica have done just that, very obviously while others like Monster Magnet have done so (probably) somewhat more enigmatically and clandestinely. The "Galactus" (Marvel Comics) theory holds some water in my opinion too. It'd be my second guess as to the song meaning. |
