Florence + the Machine – Landscape Lyrics | 12 years ago |
Depression definitely crossed my mind too. I've got a feeling that the 'She' in the song is Virginia Woolf. She wrote 'To The Lighthouse' and suffered from a very severe depression that led her to commit suicide. |
Oh Land – Perfection Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I basically agree with you jumpp12. My opinion: A girl who made a guy fall in love with her by being someone she's not. In short: it's about a girl faking an entire personality, based on a person (indeed maybe a former lover, but somehow I'm thinking his favorite movie-actress, someone ungraspable). 'I study you until I will get your perfection': at first I thought the perfection of the person she's in love with, but now I realize it's probably about the person she's imitating that she's singing. 'You know how I speak, how I try to imitate The way she lays her head on your shoulder' : He knows... I love songs that sound so happy, but when you start reading the lyrics, you realize how sad it really is. |

I get most of your point, but why is she saying: 'but he never let me down?' If he's trying to get rid of her? The inconsistency isn't in your opinion, but in the lyrics |
Ellie Goulding – This Love (Will Be Your Downfall) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
So about the chorus, I'm thinking that she's speaking to herself. As in: this will be my downfall. It's the only thing that makes sense.. |

Kyte – Ihnfsa Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think it's either about the horrific consequences of war, or about the things that go through the head of a terrorist who is about to kill himself for a cause he believes is right. |
