Not used to so much direct social commentary from SKM. Good song, puts things in perspective -- you only care when it affects you, but it's still happening. Also, "I was down in New Orleans, at the Monteleone", not model o. It's a hotel. |

Such a bleak, bittersweet song. A resigned tone that comes through more in the guitar than the thoroughly real lyrics. Hell of a song. But I'm flying out there tomorrow because I need to give and get some hugs Cause I got questions that I'd like to get answered I may never get them, but Carissa I gotta know how did it happen? |

This song makes me feel bad about myself. Although the moment where she mentions Kentucky, and the banjo plays momentarily -- kind of stereotypical, but it does make me think of home (I'm from Kentucky). |

| Whether or not Murphy will answer the question, this song is about losing someone you love. Not to a breakup, as everyone on this site seems to think a potentially sad song is about, but to death. The line, "But nothing can prepare you for it / the voice on the other end." Sounds like someone in the hospital. It's a beautiful tribute to someone. | |
