i think "the gash" represents our own personal problem du jour.... say addiction (any form).. or depression.. or relationship problems.. i think ultimately what this song is saying is. you are not alone. everyone has their own gash and using the gash as an excuse to give up on your battle to live (sanity=Truth) well.. thats just damn stupid. get out of the self pity and keep going gash and all.. i fucking love everything everyone has said. and i love this song |

god this song brings me back to a time in my life.. so.. .. its so fucking real. like im there again. in that condo on dundas west, in the bright sunlight.. crying over the loss that was in my future.sometimes you just know that the man you want just isn't willing to do battle anymore. he was right. in the long run anyway. |

these days are needles under my skin - i'm going to assume the hero of this track isn't feeling so hot as of late tell me i got to believe in jesus shooting heroin - i think the dude is saying he needs a bad role model to justify/rationalize his current lifestyle choices.. perhaps he's not too pleased with himself ahhh and then there's the whole Mary section. thats just fucking brilliant. sweet virgin mary.. the lovely whore who our hero cant resist.. and again with that perfect excuse.. what would his jesus do? |
