The Beatles – Happiness Is a Warm Gun Lyrics 13 years ago
I believe the beginning of the song is describing happy times under the influence of drugs, mainly LSD hallucinations. And as the song progresses The trip is ending and he needs "a fix, cause I'm going down." And he realizes that happiness is not real, and the end of the song is about suicide due to sobriety "happiness is a warm gun" (a recently fired gun)

Guster – Timothy Leary Lyrics 13 years ago
Definitely about an LSD trip. The title gives it away. Every line goes with that description. Pretending to be a hero, seeing cracks in the sidewalks like lips, audial hallucinations "one single voice made a deafening sound"

The Beatles – Penny Lane Lyrics 13 years ago
CoinXOperatedXGirl: Many Beatles songs make references to LSD, which causes visual and audial hallucinations. I think that this line is referring to their perspective of penny lane on LSD. "In my ears and in my eyes"

Guster – Parachute Lyrics 14 years ago
if you read the lyrics straight down without waiting for the music (which is usually how lyrics are written) it seems like he made a big mistake, and was finally accepting defeat when a friend (parachute) came out of nowhere and saved/helped him. alot of guster songs are set up on a 1st half/2nd half basis as is this one.
