thank you soonstar, this is about how i felt about it, especially with the line at the end, when he says i saw the baby crying inside your stomach. and i felt love. he new the child was still alive. the suicide and drug theorys have run their course lol. |

Yours is pretty much where I was going with it, like a drug relationship between two lovers. The "bite the hand that feeds" maybe referring to one of them supplying so the other wouldn't dare end the relationship. Tap the vein referring to the flicking of the vein before shooting up? |

I was very curious about the song, and placebo was the first artist I heard it performed by. This made me think this song had a deep difficult meaning. I then found out that Kate bush wash the original artist, doing mostly upbeat lovesongs this alone knocked out alot of meaning for me. Upon further research I found that this song has often been misenterpeted and a quote straight out of her mouth told me that this song is simply about the fact that man and woman can't put themselves in the others shoes. And asking god to switch places adds to the power of the meaning, so much to my dismay it's just another love song, although maybe placebo had other intentions? |
