Gener has said this song has a lot to do with his divorce, which was going on around the time they were writing Quebec. His wife, Sarah, and him were splitting, and they had known each other since he was around 19. He pretty much said every love song he wrote was about her, starting with "Oh My Dear (I'm Falling In Love" and ending with "I Don't Want It." Pretty sad.

Just picked up the album! Really great, I think it's gonna be one of those albums which grows on you more and more as you listen. That's how I felt about Demon Days, anyway. This song is one the highlights to me, along with RhineStone Eyes and SuperFast Jellyfish. Just a really heartfelt song.
