this is actually michelle's view of the song. Branch: I guess I could never do "Behind the Music," because none of the songs I write are about personal experiences. I mostly write love songs because I think it's the one thing that everyone can relate to. You see it in movies, in novels ... I like to keep my songs open-ended so people can listen to it and say, "Oh, I think it means this. I've been through that." Instead of having it be about, "I dumped my boyfriend. This is what the song is about." Then it's like, "I don't get it. This has never happened to me. I'm not Michelle." "Everywhere" started out as this simple acoustic love song. When you first like somebody, every little thing reminds you of that person. They're everywhere, in every little thing. |

| In my personal opinion i think that every girl dreams about the type of guy that would be perfect for her. I think shes waiting to meet him. "every time i look your never there, and everytime i sleep your always there." The song also says that "its hard to think that you might not be real. Sounds to me like she's waiting for the man of her dreams...Atleast thats how i take the song. Im sure it means alot of different things to alot of different people. thats what musics for. =] | |
