Maybe she caused a lot of damage and it took her a really long time (and a wacky experience) to realize it. She had to see things from his (their) perspective in order to understand the toll she took on his life (or more). Maybe the "home" she broke wasn't a home but a friendship (or two) and she ran away and that was difficult for him.
Now she hopes to see him again someday cuz she always enjoyed his sense of things. She hopes he has lots of happiness and laughter in his life despite of all the damage she's done. |

So maybe this song is about sharing, in general. Maybe, if someone caused you severe pain, you want to do the same to them. You want to share the experience. Maybe you realized that all change is loss and all loss should be mourned and you wanted to do that together. And the person had exited your lives and you needed to go through this process together. That is actually, really sweet. You realized that transitions are important and need to be acknowledged and you wanted to do that in a memorable way. So you started a war in order to bring peace to everyone involved. You wanted everyone to share their experience, in order to alleviate the pain.
