i agree. an idea for the last stanza though, possibly things got bad with the friend, like suicidal. "I never would have thought that things could go this far, but please believe me." to me it sounds like the friend is in some sort of trouble. if it is suicide the next lines make since "Are you gonna run away, and leave me here alone? Are you gonna run away, and leave me here?" |
