As you can tell by the lyrics... and also from what I read in an interview from Maria... her father was not the best man. He treated her terribly and if I recall correctly was a drug addict. She is reliving that suffering that he had to endure as a child that has made her the women she is today. |

I think of this as having deeper meaning than the other person mentioned. I think that it somewhat political... or I guess more worldly.
This song is about a perfect world. Dreams lead the way. Colors fade the gray. Sadly, that is not the world we live in. It is currently just a dream in the minds of SOME (which is why she states that SHE has found it and is encouraging others to do so). I also wish we could live in a world with violet skies and no hate. It is similar to their song great divide... It is just not as upfront about it. |

Life is full of storms. Very few people are lucky enough to have someone they love stay with them through each and every storm. That is what this song is about... life has ups and downs but all anyone really wants is a special person to pick them up when they fall and stay with them when life is at it's best. Used to be me and my gf's song... we didn't last. She could not stay through the storm. |

I am a huge ITM fan (biggest fan in my opinion haha). I have met the band and talked to them a lot. Based off of interview of Maria, some things I have gathered from talking to her, and basically just from listening to the song this is not that dark of a song despite the video. It is about a tragedy that is turned beautiful (as the title suggests). One example that Maria (the lead singer of ITM) gave in an interview was when someone dies and all of their family gets together at a funeral. You have a large group of people that havent talked in years that suddenly reconnect. With death comes the reconnecting of families. That is just one example. This song is amazing. This band is amazing. Check out the rest of their songs! They are all great and meaningful |
