i agree with the bush theory. right off the bat.
"North to south, empty"
could be referring to the weapons of mass destruction that were never found. |

I think this one is about a teenager or pre-teen leaving home. The "baby ungrown" part sold it for me. He's writing from the perspective of the parent, hence the "i welcome your call, these walls don't fall", which means no matter what, he's willing to take the teenager that left him whenever. Great album....great. |

I think this song is about being saved. The reference to walking on water could be referring to Jesus, then midway in the verse when she says "you think i'm satans daughter" is referring to her being judged based on the things she does. The fact that she doesn't want to go burning 'cross the breeze' could be referring to going to hell. Especially because the guitars and drums get hectic towards the end. I love it. haha |

yeah, i think i'll tag along with your point. the part about the pen kinda sold it to me that it's about the art of writing or creating music. whether we're right or wrong, great track. |

I think this song is talking about the fact that it's too late to save or recover certain war torn parts of the world. Especially because of the references to the Nile and the great wall of China, which hold great historical significance. When he refers to 'she' in each individual verse, he could be talking about whichever part of the world he refers to in the verse.
Great song.
