Darwin Deez – Radar Detector Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This guy's hair a frizzy representation of sex. But going on, I like the theme of finding a location, as if this new flame gives him direction. (Radar detector, star maps, driving, looking, finding stuff in a marketplace, aimlessly cruising around town...) |
Darwin Deez – Constellation Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Love the flat-sounding reconstruction of twinkle twinkle little star.. Something like, the faith in fate over coincidence. That cliche of it being written in the stars~ |
Darwin Deez – Bad Day Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Instead of "And if you're out of clean sheets..." I think it's, "I hope that your team lost, I hope your new girl takes off with a new guy" My interpretation: schadenfreude in the imagined karma for an ex, tinged with a teaspoon of sympathy. |
Islands – The Arm Lyrics | 14 years ago |
it's an open torso, with rib cage, and a car on the left side* |
Islands – The Arm Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I definitely agree with the whole car accident scenario. Turning blue as one dies, etc- but I think of the arm as you know, the merciless arm of God. It reminds me of that scene in Toy Story (I know -__-), where the mechanical arm randomly selects those alien toys... you know? The arm is the the fact of life. If you look at the cover art, an open torso with rib cafe has a car on the left side. |

Rodan200, kamalei, infinityontrial, I agree with you all |
Cursive – I Couldn't Love You Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Wow, didn't think of the double meanings... But I thought of it as 'anymore.' Being tired of the push-and-pull, and unrequited love. In this case, I was wondering who he's talking of when he sings, "You over-analyze..." Is he referring to himself, or his ex? I'm guessing it's him, since he's losing sleep, but just wanted to be sure. |
Land of Talk – It's Okay Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Basically everything they said, though I agree with rugs' comment on the spark metaphor. Goodbyes are hard.. |
Delphic – Counterpoint Lyrics | 14 years ago |
There's obviously been a break-up and he's metaphorically running around- looking for some kind of explanation. He's looking for consolation, that, in fact, nothing's wrong. |
