i think berkeley707 summed it up best. and I don't know what "rude boy" means, but everything else about the song speaks to me as a woman saying she just wants to make dirty love with her man and do it her way - how is that at all about pornography or being a whore or slut?? When you're with someone don't you have needs like that? Understand if it's not your taste, but some people don't always want the romantic candlelit lovey dovey intimacy. Sometimes a woman likes it rough, and men do too. At least all she is speaking about is the intimacy between her and her man. If you're going to complain about any female-singer's song it should be Britney's blatant sex song about threesomes and how everyone, including Peter Paul and Mary, enjoy "living in sin". |

I agree 100% with you.... i just had a miscarriage... and although I related it to abortion at first as well, as soon as I read your take on it, oh man it made it so clear to me how it relates to my experience exactly... I have to live with the choice I made that night, and one of those repercussions was that I ended up creating a life - for God to take her away, did he do it because I wasn't capable of caring for her? Did he do it to spare me a difficult road (although it is still difficult)? Is it my fault she wasn't born? I would give anything to hold her, I love her though I never met her - but at the same time I don't know how I would've felt about having a baby, being a single mom... it's such a tangled situation. this whole day in particular I've prayed to get through the situation, the mistake I made also led to other emotional and relational complications, but at the end of it all I just want her to be rightfully remembered ("I remembered your name/birthday", it's so true, I need those things to heal). I only just heard this song today but it really touches me deeply. |
