It is extremely clear to me what this song is about. BTW, lyrically this may be their best song ever.....I love it. It is about the elitists that rule this world, and their coming fate. They are dead, both figuratively and literally. Or soon to be at least. A revolution is coming, and those that have been destroyed by these statist pigs are going to rise up. "And while the world that they built, told 'em to change, told 'em to listen, they just kept it the same." Says a lot. Also the parts about "Everything is paid for tonight" and "The drinks here are free" is about how they have used their shady dealings to steal from the people to make them fat and happy. "Bones covered up by suits, as the visible scars, they multiply. Kiss it goodbye, too stubborn and I'll destory." Suits refer to the elitist politicians and bankers in bed with each other......honestly I haven't figured out the reference to visible scars multiplying. Obviously "BONES" is a metaphor then because bones don't have scars, but I think it is talking about how lifeless and soulless they are and the continual and multiplying damage they are inflicting on this world. "Too stubborn and now you're destroyed" I think are the correct lyrics, that is what I hear anyways. Nothing hidden in that meaning, just means we are coming after them to destroy them. "Tick, tock, the time bomb has been recognized and pressurized. Nowhere to hide, swallowing light!" Pretty obvious meanings also following this theme. The Revolution is a ticking time bomb. Best guess on lyrics following solo: "Why'd you ????????????? You drown me with all that you got Oh, how the mighty fall" Have to go? Write the law? Something like that......but I don't need to repeat myself on the meaning of this. Same thing, different way of saying it. There is a storm brewing in this world, A7X recognizes it......do you? |

This and Fiction are the 2 best songs on this album, and the rest are amazing also. This is obviously the mourning process they went through after his death. You receive every stage in this song. The first part of the song you get the guilt, denial, shock, and sadness of their loss. --Chances are that ya might find That we share a common discomfort now I feel I'm walking a fine line Tell me only if it's real-- And you question if this is about the Rev? Obviously the common discomfort that the band members and families share is the loss of Jimmy. -To faith as i dig another grave Meanwhile the mice endure the wheel Real as ever And it seems that I've been Buried Alive- "Another grave"......I don't know if he is talking about for Jimmy or himself. Could be either. "Meanwhile the mice endure the wheel" while he is "buried alive" is talking about the people going on throughout their daily business who are not buried alive in grief like he is. -Take you down now Burn it all out Throw you all around Get your fuckin' HANDS OFF ME- I think he is metaphorically talking about the getting rid of the pain and grief and killing himself. You see in the following lines he must be talking about going to hell. "Took the wrong route", "Now you're knockin' AT THE WRONG GATE", "I'll gladly take your soul", "INFERNO AWAITS". "Psycho lunitic crushing you with HANDS OF FATE" Is the Psycho lunatic God or Satan? |

I don't get where people think this has anything to do with war, Bush, or political parties. It has to do with one thing and one thing only: Liberals. I believe they stated that also when asked about it saying how they are from the coast and sick and tired of their bullshit. Which liberals are full of. OK, lets begin: "(Shh, be quiet, you might piss somebody off)" - I don't believe they are talking about themselves pissing people off....they are speaking directly to liberals here. They are telling them to shut their mouths before they piss somebody off and start a real conflict. Listen to this line just before the solo....you will understand. "While you feed off all those insecurities, you stand in front of me and bite the hand that feeds." - This is referring to liberals using emotions (instead of logic) to get a result. This can be the war, healthcare, global warming.....whatever you want. And then to get what they want they "bite the hand that feeds". Meaning those that actually work in this country. "Heart bleeds but not for fellow man (broken glass, your fake reflection)" - My favorite line. Anyone ever heard the term "bleeding-heart liberal"? Well....they have a bleeding heart alright, but it is as fake as it gets. Their bleeding heart is out of selfishness for money and power. I have to go now, but I also have a special salute waved high in the air to all those pompous liberals......FUCK YOU!! |
