Spacehog – Zeroes Lyrics

I really loved this band growing up, especially this album, it was the second CD I'd ever owned, the first being There is Nothing Left to Lose by Foo Fighters, but to sum my thoughts, amazing song. Although I'm sure my interpretation is wrong as I see a lot on this site (would it hurt anyone to look up the actual meaning as interpreted by the artists?), I'd assume that it's about a guy who feels like a loser after being toyed with ("Please excuse me for being born" implies sarcasm and irritation) by a woman who wouldn't give him a 'real number to her love' ("I asked for her love, What should I dieal? She said 'Zero, zero....zero'"). But that's just ol' DANGER's assumption. What do any of you think?
