Kimya Dawson – Velvet Rabbit Lyrics 14 years ago
To stick with the concept of adolescence and sexual peer pressure, I think the last two lines of the second stanzas can easily fit into this:

you didn't even notice it makes me wonder
if you even know what goes on in your home

Sage Francis – Conspiracy To Riot Lyrics 14 years ago
Sage actually has talked about this song when he was talking about the arrests for misdemeanor rioting at the "Taking Back Labor Day" celebration and the conspiracy riot arrests and raids made around the time of the Republican National Convention. Here is his blog page talking about it: http://www.strangefamousrecords.com/conspiracy/

"We have the right to assembly and it's the duty of the patriot
to protect his country from the government.
But when we try it; but when we try it;
But when we try it;
it's CONSPIRACY TO RIOT!"
This I think is very very true. Without people picketing the stuff done buy our government America doesn't work. Those who are truly Patriotic are those who attempt to change that which happens through stuff such as demonstrating.

"Journalists get arrested.
Watch the Blackwater operatives go domestic."
This lyric is probably in reference to his friend Jared Paul who got arrested during the "Taking Back Labor Day" celebration.

"You came fashionably late to the headbanger's ball.
After the mob scene lost steam,"
Jared Paul was headed to the music part of this where Mos Def and Atmosphere were performing when he got arrested.

The title is probably in reference to the organizers who got arrested, such as though who got arrested n the Food Not Bombs raid, most of whom got arrested for Conspiracy to Riot.

My favorite part:
"Summer spring and autumn. Now bring the wintertime.
I don't protest snow. I shovel it with picket signs."

She Wants Revenge – Sister Lyrics 14 years ago
What if the saints reference is a bit more metaphorical? Saints are often considered to be ancestors in a way and this song could be referencing maybe family pictures or something such as that. I agree that overall this is talking about a rather innocent girl who is trying to be less that way. The line "you can hurt me do whatever you like"? My overall sense [partially due to my personal bias I guess] is it is about a girl who is like a guy's sister friend wise, who is drunk, and maybe a bit screwed in the head. They get drunk and he tries to bring her home to her place. She tries t seduce him and he knows it would be taking advantage of her. I think there is a bit of a religious undertone but that could easily all be metaphorical. Morals are definitely thought of with religion a lot of the time and you could easily use Catholic imagery any time you want. It easily removes things from a situation so that it can be seen through new eyes and interrupted into other people's eyes.
