It's about love that seemed perfect, and then it collapsed and left her horribly hurt. "We say to those who are in love it can't be true 'cause we're too young. I know that's true because so long I was so in love with you... so I thought" It's like a phrase that lingers. And then the following line "A year goes by, and I can't talk about it" Proves that she remained incredibly heart broken for a long time. "All these twisted thoughts I see, Jesus fell inbetween" To me means she was contemplating suicide to escape the heart break, but instead she found Jesus. Which she claims is actually how she became converted into a christian, because she was going to commit suicide. I could be totally wrong and not making any sense to anyone, but this is how I see the song. |

Whether this song is about Jesus or not, I think of it as a tragic love story. I am atheist though, so maybe that's why. Well, this song is beautifully written either way, and it brings out strong emotions in me. I love it. |

| Actually, FLyleaf labels themselves christian. Mostly every song they sing is in some relation to Jesus or God. I don't know much about the bible, but your explanation of that story seemed to go great with the song. I just wanted to thank you for posting. (: | |
