i agree with sine, except the "sticking up for my friend" is (to me) him wondering if his friends defend him even though he thinks he's not worth much. that, or he wishes that his friends would support him when he thinks he's not worth much. I'm in that same boat tonight.

horrifically creepy, yes. but parts of this album have some serious subliminal messages going on. boc actually said (in some interview, i don't remember where) that they were really interested in that type of stuff, saying that music is capable of some powerful things. this song is a perfect example. you listen to it, and on the surface, it scares the shit out of you. but if you listen carefully and soak in the song, the message comes through. pretty uplifting for such a scary sounding song.

This song is really great. Its meaning is pretty self-explanatory. It makes you think of all the people that used to be in your life that probably don't even know how badly you miss them and want them back.

I heard this on Sirius Radio in my car the other day and couldn't get it out of my head. I couldn't find it here at first, so I attempted to add it only to find that I was beaten to the punch (earlier that same day, in fact). It's about hiding from your problems by partying. He takes ecstasy because it feels so good to be in that moment that it doesn't matter that you have problems. At least, that's what I think. Regardless, Sun Bronzed Greek Gods is fantastic, and I'm not even into this type of music.

Yeah, I'm gonna go with no. Just because something tragic happened to the band doesn't mean everything's about that tragic thing. I understand how you could see that, but this song isn't about Chi. If you've ever wanted something that you know you shouldn't, you'd understand the "creep across my skull" phrase. This song is beautiful -- don't try to make it about something that it's not.

It's about someone so completely jaded that he just floats through life, but doesn't really want it to end. He's talking to someone in the poem, and I guess he doesn't want to let that someone go, but at the same time, he wants to sink into the "beautiful ground," as deep as he can go.
