Could be? No. It's DEFINITELY about Jesus, though you could twist the lyrics to fit about the military.. maybe? Some of you might not know that Flyleaf is actually a Christian band. When I first heard the lyrics to this song I knew immediately who it was about.. "I left his arms empty and tied Out stretched for me until he died" Jesus died for us, as sinners. He died for the very ones who pushed him away. "He did all that he could I still would not believe him" People believed in him AFTER the fact of his death. People today still don't believe in him, even after all he has done for us. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice. The most inspiring part of it is that he would've died if it was just for me or you. |
