Alter Bridge – Find The Real Lyrics 11 years ago
I think this song is very introspective in recognizing one's true nature which turns out to be not so pretty as what's on the outside. So this true nature is confronted with a desire for change, a change for the better.

Yellowcard – Breathing Lyrics 13 years ago
Yeh the line - 'I can feel it breaking free with each and every kiss' sums up the cheating part. The chorus is awesome, how the the very sound of his girlfriends breathing haunts him of his infidelity....

Switchfoot – We Are One Tonight Lyrics 13 years ago
I think that its about coming together as human beings even if its just one night or one song that we sing together - thats just the chorus; the rest of the song is how we have our differences no doubt but we can still come together and put those differences aside at least for a night.

Switchfoot – Ammunition Lyrics 13 years ago
I think its about all the wars in this world and the vain reasons that governments, terrorists, even ourselves give to justify these wars. The war theme is brought well by the drum line, there is repeated fill used that sounds like a machine gun firing.

Lifehouse – Who We Are Lyrics 13 years ago
First thing that identified is that in the chorus is about a relationship and you must 'turn it inside out' to find out what the dynamic is actually like.
The rest of the song is saying in my opinion that he/she fell in love with the person the way he/she was when they met, not who he/she is now - changed person.

Bob Marley and the Wailers – No Woman No Cry Lyrics 13 years ago
After really getting into the lyrics I realized that it wasn't some "I'm fine being single" song, but it was actually meaning to say "no woman don't cry" - Jamaican dialect as I've learnt from the other comments.
Overall I think its about how the government is in a world of its own sometimes, forgetting about the people who are really in need. However Marley brings out a feeling of how life is still wholesome and good despite this ignorance, there is such a warm feeling of a bond between friends and family.

The Goo Goo Dolls – Let Love In Lyrics 13 years ago
How can we be so sure its a single person let alone a girl, apparently he is addressing all of humanity when he uses "you" (according to another comment that cited Rzeznik's interview with VH1). WE need to let love in...

House of Heroes – God Save the Foolish Kings Lyrics 13 years ago
I think this song is about how as christians we may live the lives we need to live, but we don't do it with our hearts in it; its like when he says we're only " honest only cuz the truth - it cannot hide". Kings represent us cuz we have so much as Christians and we squander it. I agree with rescued 115 about the gang theme in the song.

Switchfoot – Circles Lyrics 14 years ago
I think its probably how things can become mundane for a christian; i say for a christian cuz he says he's lost all that he wanted to leave and and all that he wanted to be. So i guess its saying saying thats he's saved now but things are too ordinary and routine..

Switchfoot – You Already Take Me There Lyrics 14 years ago
When they say "You already take me there" i think they're trying to say that they their lives feel like heaven with Christ - "heaven in the here and now". Its kinda like saying that if it feels like heaven now imagine what it will be like when we reach the actual heaven.. :)

Switchfoot – Yet Lyrics 14 years ago
The song speaks about the darkest hours of our lives - a mix of 'teary eyes' & 'attempts failed' utterly ; these tough times render us so stranded and 'so confused'. Things come to a head where you can't keep it all together anymore and 'your breaking down with your insides coming out' you can yield to hopelessness or be hopeful and say that 'you haven't lost me yet'.

P.S. Big help the quote was...thnks cheeseninja

Alter Bridge – Watch Over You Lyrics 14 years ago
Here i think Miles is singing about having to go separate ways with a close person that you 'love' and 'watch over'. The concern is of such conviction on the part of the singer as he is so troubled of how his/her counterpart will 'go on' 'when I'm gone'. This companion is very compassionate & selfless as he/she would 'love someone not' herself/himself. At the bridge there is a lot of power like a verse-long crescendo with a perfectly paralleled emotion of the pain of uncertainty of 'who' will 'watch over' how will she/he 'ease your pain', where will she/he turn for 'someone to blame'.Finally with great reluctance and an understanding compromise he realizes that its time for him to be 'long gone'

Switchfoot – Twenty-Four Lyrics 14 years ago
Jon writes this reminiscing of 24 years of his time past the good ('24 oceans,24 skies'), the bad(24 failures,24 tries), and the ugly('24th place,24 dropouts').He finds himself in the revelation that 'life is not what' he 'though it was' in the beginning now he wants to be new-born in spirit as a 'second man'.He also says that that they are so many 'voices' (like several different people each a part of him) he hears divided in himself but he ignores it all to be 'centered and true' for the purpose of being focussed on second goal- 'raising the dead' desires - which are to 'see the world change'. Unlike before he is a 'second man' a dormant person within him has been raised from the dead in the spirits arms, instead of being set on petty 'feelings' or 'causes' he set to see 'the world change'

Relient K – Deathbed Lyrics 14 years ago
Deathbed is a story of man who goes through many hardships in his life - divorce, forced/arranged marriage, children were taken from him. This man is hit-harder and brought to his knees with the world's comforts such as smoking and alcohol. The man believes that when he passes away he will still be alone as was on his deathbed just like how it had proved to be throughout his life, and its because of all he has done. Like the difference of chorus lyrics in the last chorus the man too finds that there is someone that begs to differ- our more than mere marty,r Jesus Christ who loves him 'for every sinful bone' and who 'wept alone'. Truly belongs among the pantheon of great songs such. A lovely melody , no an awesome one with the classy piano emphasis, tempo shifts, as well as the inclusion of the guest voice Jon Foreman;all makes this song the jack and master of all trades
