First of all a Silversun Pickup means grabbing booze at a liquorstore in Silverlake CA. and second of all, try to think about it from the artists point of view. This song is off of their sophmore album (freshman if you dont count EPs) so theyre still poor as all hell when writing it. Brian would probably have next to no interest in the war in Iraq, and I seriously doubt any interest in sports (have you seen the guy? he's like 5' 9" and soft-spoken). Most of SSPUs songs are more ambiguous and have more to do with an emotion than a concrete incident. unfortunantly I can't say I know what it means.. Just that you don't either. |
