Wow iamjoy, I love how you put a deep meaning to this song. I've just always thought it was hysterical, but what you said makes sense. |

Hanson – MMMBop Lyrics
|
hey smartykat37, in case you didn't notice, Hanson is still around. They just released their fifth CD this week, and the Jackson 5 aren't still around, last time I checked. If you don't like mmmbop, that's okay, but you really should give some of their more recent stuff a try. They're older, hotter, and their voices have all changed now, so it's more mature, plus it's more rock now then pop. |

This music video is absolutely hysterical!!! lol :) It's so awesome how identical it is to the original music video "Twist it (Shake a Tail Feather)" by the Blues Brothers. |

Starfield – Rediscover You Lyrics

When I listened to this song for the first time, I literally laughed out loud! My friend had just basically got her heart broken by a guy named David, and we kept having all these weird coincedences, like every verse that was mentioned in church either had to do with David or David was on the same page. So when it got to the second verse, I was like "Of course!" Anyway, my friend is friends again with David, so it's all good. Not to mention I absolutely LOVE this song!!! |

Hanson – Broken Angel Lyrics
|
This song is beautiful, but it's sooooo depressing. "Wings are strewn everywhere, there's blood all around" :( I love every Hanson song, but this is definitely my least favorite. I gave up secular music for Lent, so yesterday I put Hanson on shuffle on my iPod and listened to almost every single song!! :) I have to be able to last 40 days! It's gonna be tough without my Hanson! lol |

This song is in the movie "To Save a Life". It's probably the best scene, where the youth group starts having lunch with each other. |

Fireflight – You Decide Lyrics

I saw this amazing drama to this song at a youth retreat called Resurrection! At the beginning, there was this girl who was lost and she found a Bible, and Satan kept telling her, "Lost soul, put the book down!" It was really creepy, but it was awesome! |

By the way, Find the 01 gets their name from the story in the Bible about the shepherd with 100 sheep but one gets away. So he leaves the 99 to Find the 01. |

The Fray – How To Save A Life Lyrics
|
I had this song stuck in my head yesterday because there's this awesome new movie coming out next week called "To Save a Life". It's gonna be really really really good and everybody should go see it. The back of the promo dvd says "Jake and Roger grew up as best friends. But in high school, Jake becomes a star athlete who has it all: a college scholarship and the perfect girl, an ideal life that comes at the exclusion of his childhood friend. meanwhile, Roger no longer fits in anywhere and becomes tired of always being pushed aside. He makes a tragic move that spins Jake's world out of control. As Jake searches for answers, he begins a journey that will change his life forever." |

Switchfoot – Only Hope Lyrics

This song is both an awesome secular and Christian song. I love the Switchfoot version better than Mandy Moore's because the part with the violins is amazing!!! A walk to Remember is such an awesome movie!! I cry every time! |

Switchfoot – This Is Home Lyrics

I love this song! I'm confused though, because if you listen to the song on the credits of Caspian, (which I also love, by the way!) the lyrics are completely different. Anybody know why? |

Miley Cyrus – Party in the U.S.A. Lyrics
|
Musically I like this song. I have to admit it's pretty catchy. But anyone who gives a positive reference to Britney Spears makes me feel disappointed. Not to mention the rest of the lyrics aren't that great and Miley is wearing hardly anything in the music video. I feel sorry for Miley, because she must think that the only way to sell music is by being trashy, but she has so much more potential than that. Maybe in the future she'll do better. |

Michael W. Smith – This Is Your Time Lyrics

Everybody needs to read the book "She Said Yes" by Cassie's mom. It amazes me that Cassie was deeply invovled in Wicca or something like that before she became a Christian shortly before the shootings. |

Rebecca St. James – Yes, I Believe In God Lyrics
| 14 years ago
|
This song was written after the Columbine shootings about Cassie Bernall, the girl who was asked if she believed in God, said yes, and then was shot. Everybody should check out the book, "She Said Yes", which was written by Cassie's mom. It's really powerful, because until pretty recently before the shootings, Cassie was deeply involved in Wicca or something like that, and she had only been saved a short while (I forget how long), before she died. |

Barlow Girl – Time for You to Go Lyrics
|
I absolutely love this song!!! The sarcasm is so awesome!! Not to mention very true. It's no wonder that the only news is bad news, because we keep buying into it. It's the same with movies and music. We need to stand up and show that we are tired of R rated movies!!! That's why it's so important to go to the opening weekends of movies like Fireproof, because box office numbers do make a difference. |

Barlow Girl – Tears Fall Lyrics
|
This song almost literally makes my "tears fall" every time I hear it! I am a huge pro-life advocate, so I think this song is really important. My favorite line is "all our claims to freedom have become these heavy chains, and in the name of rights we keep filling nameless graves". How come we never think about the baby's right to live? I totally understand that some people don't want to have a baby or can't afford one, but that's what adoption is for. There are so many families out there that can't have kids and desperately want them. |

Hanson – Been There Before Lyrics

When I first heard the second verse about chariots swing low, I laughed out loud. When I was little, I had this Bible school songs CD, and my dad would listen to it with me on long trips. "Swing Low' is like the only song my dad would sing out loud, and it's kind of a running joke in my family! I absolutely love this song, though! It's probably my favorite on the CD. I love the African choir! |

Hanson – Something Going Round Lyrics

I think this song could be about those things too, but most importantly it's about having a relationship with Jesus. The part "Are you hungry, come get your fill" could refer to where Jesus says He's the bread of life. |

David Crowder Band – How He Loves Lyrics
|
I can't believe nobody's commented on this song! I think it's one of the most powerful worship songs out there right now. Whenever I've heard it sung at concerts and worship services, I've always heard the line sung as "heaven meets earth like a sloppy wet kiss", but on the radio it's "unforseen kiss". I wonder why? Anyway, great song! |
