As someone being in a long-term relationship with children...
This one is definitely about taking the risks of a relationship (hence "walking the wire"), because every true relationship is based on really fragile things like trust, passion and yes, friendship (these things being the wire). These emotions can get you "high" (feel the wind in your hair), but cost you some (tears, nights you just walk away). The song is also about complete devotion to each other (we took the step, and we took the leap, and we'll take what comes"). Sometimes, there are moments where you are afraid of where the relationship might be heading or of losing your loved one ("if you're afraid of falling then don't look down"). Also, in times of insecurity being there for one another ("I'll take your hand when thunder roars, and I'll hold you close, I'll stay the course").
For me, this song is about a relationship with true love and for me, these lyrics are clear as can be. Just beautiful. Wishing everybody here a relationship as described by the Dragons. |
