I don't think you have to be dying to start enjoy the simple things in life. My opinion is that she's not very happy with the way her life is, maybe a little depressed and down, but she is still fighting to go on. She tries to make the best of it and hope for the best ("Perhaps a letter with a dove/Perhaps a stranger she could love").
Fighting for ones life doesn't necessary mean a fight to survive, but to fight to have the life you want to have and to be happy. |
