Destroy the Runner – I, Lucifer Lyrics | 13 years ago |
Perfect. It's what I got as well |
Rosaline – Brother we'll save you now Lyrics | 14 years ago |
The bond of brotherhood was also portrayed very heavily in the lyrics with lines such as "Your friends are your faith" and "My friend,/You're never alone" |
Rosaline – Brother we'll save you now Lyrics | 14 years ago |
What I got from this song was a war theme. The lines "Load your gun and gag the sky" and "Never leave your brother behind" really hammered in this thought to me, as brotherhood is a big part of being in the military. It's the experience that nearly every soldier says he or she has when they've been in the army. The song also talks about war inside the soul, and it mentions more than one person. This could be referring to the soldiers having to make hard decisions, such as the one to kill civilians overseas during the war on terrorism, and reflects how important the bond of brotherhood is. And the line "sleepwalking through deserts like a ghost in a churchyard" may be talking about a desert warzone such as Iraq or Afghanistan, the ghost referring to how weary all of them are from their experiences. The final thing that hammered in this point for me was when the line about "blood-soaked rocks" came up, which immediately makes me think of combat or hardship. |
All Time Low – Six Feet Under the Stars Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I love this song, but I really can't begin to tell what it's about other than a girl who he seems to be trying to impress, and he feels he's not good enough for her. |
For Today – Redemption Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"i know there will be many trials, and i will be tempted, but by your grace and your love, i will defeat this, and taste the sweet sweet victory" Can you relate to great problems you have overcome? And I think the reason that they make really hxc songs is to cater to a different audience, or to reach out to more people. Think about it, they can preach to Christians AND fans of Hardcore/metalcore music this way. |
For Today – Ezekiel (The Visionary) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"This is the river of life, and it will flow from the place of worship." From this part I got "Salvation comes from the Church." This being because the "place of worship" for Christians is the Church. But this song is basically preaching the Glory of God and the Holy Spirit. How, in the end, we won't be alone when we face our darkest problems. |
For Today – Agape Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Powerful lyrics, though in the video - this may only be me - it's a little hard to understand compared to other hxc/metalcore bands. |
Armor for Sleep – Awkward Last Words Lyrics | 14 years ago |
"I wanna live again I wanna start everything over again I wanna get this right I'll meet you in another life" Just to be clear, the concept album is "What to Do When You're Dead", and the last line of this segment really hammers that home. I mean, "I'll meet you in another life" is expletive of that. |
Armor for Sleep – Remember To Feel Real Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Every song on this album has impressed me, though I agree that this one may be getting away from the concept album. Still a great song though. |
Armor for Sleep – The Truth About Heaven Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Great song and I think everyone had the meaning nailed. |
The Subtle Way – Skies Lyrics | 14 years ago |
great song, definitely about god |
Bloodhound Gang – Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Lol...the sexual innuendos in this song make it hilarious. Plus the tune is uber-catchy |
Job For A Cowboy – Knee Deep Lyrics | 14 years ago |
You're a fucking retard. Napalm Death and Warbringer suck ass. Slayer is awesome, but In Flames only has a few good songs. The only reason I like In Flames at all is because they're Swedish, and did huge things for the death metal scene. |
