The White Stripes – 300 M.P.H. Torrential Outpour Blues Lyrics | 14 years ago |
this doesn't really match up with the rest of the song but when i heard the part about the 'school floors being covered with pieces of pencil eraser too' i automatically thought of their other song we're going to be friends...the whole 'going back to school' and childish aura about it |

The Raconteurs – Consoler of the Lonely Lyrics | 14 years ago |
random but i'm pretty sure that the title of this song and the album itself comes from something written on the side of what i think was a post office somewhere...it was talking about this guy and it said, among other things, 'consoler of the lonely'. |

just wondering...how do you know he loves kids? lol out of curiosity |
The Raconteurs – Consoler of the Lonely Lyrics | 14 years ago |
that sounds quite plausible. however, the part about being 'skinny as a rail' from 'boozing' doesn't really sound like the band themselves. i mean, if they were just referring to the STEREOTYPE of rock stars getting really drunk all the time, especially when touring, then that would fit. however, if they were strictly speaking of themselves then it wouldn't make as much sense. if that were the case, then maybe they could be implying that touring, etc. is extremely stressful (which it probably is), causing them to lose weight. and yes, eating habits during touring would contribute to this too. |

ahahhaha at this: "I think Jack here is the one inviting Brendan to the parties, telling him he'll be a loner if he doesn't go and promises him "something good to eat." why jack? |
The Raconteurs – Many Shades of Black Lyrics | 14 years ago |
maybe when it says "Everybody sees And everyone agrees That you and I are wrong And it's been that way too long" they're talking about everybody saying that the singer and his significant other shouldn't be together so they're just deciding to take what people are saying to heart and break up. it would fit with the rest of the whole 'break-up' theory about the rest of the lyrics. |
