Part of what makes the mood in this is how trippy, laxed and happy the music is in this. Anyone notice how he gets hit by a car, his dad comes out pissed and beats the driver, then takes him inside so he can get high? He has to be shell shocked from getting hit by a car, then come inside to help his dad shoot up, all at age 6... Wow... I like when he says "pulls me back into hell" and how he's too weak to unlock the deadbolt. The end is a little scrambled, it acually goes: ""I need you help again, son" "I'm gonna wrap this around my arm just like before" "You pull the other end..." (Slaps his arm to get his veins ready)... "Pull it tighter, pull it tighter!" "Alright, let go! Let go Chris!! "Uuuaaaghhhh..." | I actually much prefer the beat in this song to Atmosphere's "Hair" while both do have an intense story to follow. I like where Cage went with it, and YES, it is for shock value, but think of this; if you are going to write a song about a car crash (especially if you've been in one and know how fucked up and high strung they are) why not make the emotions show in the heavy lyrics and beat, rather than put a happy wappy beat to it? Both songs are good, Cage's isn't inferior in my book... | |

Those audio clips opening and closing the song are of Jim Jones, the cult leader from the 70's who was responsible for the mass suicide of over 900 people. Tech manages to set a dark mood with the quiet music at the beginning that transforms a guy with a lisp (which would normally have some humor to it) into an utterly creepy and evil sounding mad-man. I believe what he's getting at is that due to what he has had to go thru in his life, and what is going on in our world as a whole, he doesn't see how there could be a higher power, but for the sake of what happens if he dies, he hopes there is someone there to save him. If not, he can only hope that ammo can protect him from evil demons of the world. I'm not a big fan of the chorus, since it kinda deters from the dark powerful feel of the rest of the song, but it still fits well enough. |

Now, I'm sure this wasn't what he was thinking when he made this, but when I first heard it i was on acid for the first time, so listening to it with my eyes closed, I saw little people, with a fairyness to them, playing the drums. Thing is, the drums were suspended bubbles and the drum sticks were angel hair pasta... woohoo!! Anyway, I think the main point is he is trying to gauge the workings of a person he wants to be with, and is finding out that the only way it might work well is if it is in dreams. |

| If you are like me, you listen to this song for the grinding beat. The first time I heard this I was having a shroom party at my house with about 6-10 other people, blacklight and everything. We had been listening to what a friend of mine thought was "weird music" so he decided he would be in charge of the music that night. Good thing too. I remember frying so hard and hearing that song over and over as the album repeated. I was immersed in the heavy grinding beat and yes, porn sounds. I'll tell you what too, it is GREAT sex music!! This is straight from Wikipedia, describing the point of all the covers. I believe all but 2 songs on this album are political song covers, and the other 2 are remakes of their own songs. I have also never heard a more relaxing song than this one. I know there's that whole thing about how no remake is as good as the original... if it has sentimental value. I haven't heard the original, seeing that Led Zeppelin's version isn't actually the original original. But, I think even though it seems a bit repetitive, it is still a great song. |

I think this may be a valid correction: "Let's *fuse* ourselves to be as one tonight" (being that the next few words are talking about making 2 into 1). I have some very relaxing memories of driving in the snow with NO traffic thru some back roads at like 2 in the morning, with this song on repeat. From cozy bass to high twangy notes from the banjo, it sure is a relaxing and enveloping adventure for the ears :) :) :) Not many songs about love are able to convey the feeling of love thru lyrics or instruments, but if love had a sound to it, or a theme song, Biological has my vote for #1. The only other song out there of the same relaxation caliber is A Perfect Circle's version of "When the Levee Breaks". Check it out if you haven't heard it. |

I've always heard "and 8 an hour" and "EVEN miss ohio's nameless" too. I love singing with this song on full blast, especially with the light harmony he goes into with "but no one knew your name at the local open mic toniiiiiiiiiiiiiight..." It's just one of those songs that makes you feel gooood. |
