Feist – The Park Lyrics | 13 years ago |
i think its talking about a past relationship. she is talking to herself while walking through a park. the love that she had was for a guy who had a somewhat shady past but she fought for him and believed in him. however he went back to his past behaviors ("The seasons have changed from the present to past"). she is upset which is symbolized by the steam in the cup. and she is unsure of what lies next, symbolized by the snow on the path. she wants to believe he can remain the man he was throughout their relationship but understands he is not which is represented by the park. he doesnt know her as deeply as she believed and she is slowly figuring this out and at the end she questions why she ever believed he could be the one. |
