Metallica – Master of Puppets Lyrics 15 years ago
I honestly only think this is about drugs and addictions and how bad they're for you and why you shouldnt do em.

"Taste me you will see, more is all you need"

Its like the drug is talking to you.

"Master, master, where's the dreams that I've been after?
Master, master, you promised only lies"

Thats were Metallica is telling you not to do drugs. When you do drugs and you get high, you feel really good about your self, and you feel that you can accomplish anything (well i think that, i havent done drugs though, and dont plan on it, so im only talking with other peoples experience,), but in the end, the drugs was making you think all these things that weren't true, or you could just say the drug was making you think "lies" to your self.

Metallica – Fade To Black Lyrics 15 years ago
Ok, this song is not about Cliff Burton's death. That's so ridiculous, because he played on Master of Puppets, which was released two years after Ride the Lightning. Fade to Black is on Ride the Lightning. And Cliff helped right it. So why would Cliff write about his own death that he didn't even know was going happen? Because it ain't about his god d*mn death.

Now the true meaning for the song is (and this is what I just think and what the majority of people think, so it doesnt mean its necessarily correct):
I think this song is about a man/woman, thinking profoundly about committing suicide, and later on in his/her session of thoughts about suicide, he/she decides that he/she is going to do it, and ends up doing so.

Dude, he died after "Master of Puppets," which is Metallica's 3rd album.
This song was on "Ride the Lightning" which is Metallica's second album. Why would they write about Cliff's death if it hadnt even happened by the time?

Metallica – Nothing Else Matters Lyrics 15 years ago
Well, im not sure about yall guys, but i think the meaning is pretty obvious...
Here it is:

I think this song is about how everyone should not care about what others think, or what others have said to you that are mean or disrespectful. It's also about not letting those words they say effect you or make you feel bad or insecure. But you still should respect everyone else, and respect their opinions. If you think differently from the rest of the crowd, then dont worry about it. Nothing Else Matters except YOUR opinion.

Metallica – Disposable Heroes Lyrics 15 years ago
I think this song is either about the government telling you how great it is to be a soldier and become a hero, when all they're really doing is putting you out on the front lines to just get a war closer and closer to the end. They dont think you're a hero, they just need you so they can use you, like your some worthless piece of ****.

And another meaning I have thought about is maybe a little bit inaccurate, but i dont know. Just read it lol.
This song could be about someone who thinks they're just worthless, and should die. They think they have no purpose for being here, on earth. So they think they're just "born for dying."

I know most will disagree with that last comment/interpretation, but thats just one guess at a secondary meaning.
