It is one of those rare songs that catches a real feeling that many of us with close persons who have passed on feel. We slowly lose the immediate memories of our loved ones, they fade out over time. Yeah but I think he is just talking about that still space you create when you are in the middle of the woods and just stop, breath slow and listen. It is like there is a bubble of stillness around you that expands and suddenly you are part of a big forest in your perceptions. Knowing his other lyrics though I am sure he doesn't mind one bit the possibility of the other meaning. |

Of course I could be way off but It sounds: and every summer is a hot token to (or -of- which he sometimes sings) the cold, -coin- take of lust. and every autumn singes with the business of sadness. and that goes with the next couplet and the underlying motif. ... The curve in the county is never served. Listen to him sing this at Dark was the Night Live or at Sasquatch live and he is singing -coin- to me. |
