Naw mate. About A Girl is good. But they're not the best. The best stuff is unreleased, Blandest, Even In His Youth, Verse Chorus Verse, The Other Improv, Gallons Of Rubbing Alcohol Flow Through The Strip, etc. As for come as you are. Come off it. No where near top tier for Nirvana. |

No, it wasn't the chicks from Bikini Kill. The story goes. Krist's girlfriend came over to Kurt and Krist's apartment. She hugged kurt, and shortly after used the bathroom. While in there, she wrote in lipstick on the mirror "Kurt smells like teen spirit" and yes, he did know what it was when he wrote the song, because seeing as Kurt and Krist were basically poor at the time. He was using his girlfriend, Tracy's deodorant, which happened to Teen Spirit. Hence, Smells Like Teen Spirit. Good day. |

Let me first say, before I get bashed. That I am a HUGE Nirvana fan. I own every CD/DVD/Book. Smells Like Teen Spirit is Nirvana's sell out song. Yeah, here it comes. I know right. Smells Like Teen Spirit is in fact probably one of Nirvana's worst songs. Yet, people who hear this song on the radio, and then download Nevermind think it's the best thing since sliced bread. It's not. It's a fucking joke. Dont get me wrong. I love Nirvana, and I love Kurt. But this is a shit song. There are so many better songs by Nirvana, and people always say this is the best. It's not. You want some fucking talent. You go out and buy the Boxset. Buy fucking Bleach, buy everything they have. This song is a stab at Jocks, and preps, although they didnt have preps back then. You were right about that. But it is most certainly not the best Nirvana song. And it is definetley not the most influential song ever written. And it wasn't written. if you know anything about Nirvana/Kurt, you'd know he never really wrote songs until the last minute, often when they were in the studio about to record. The same can be said for SLTS. There are atleast 3 different versions, and lyrical wording to this song. Let the bashing begin. Cmon then. |

| Fucking brilliant song. The way I see it, it's about people who come to the swap meet, or flea market, if you will. And sell there un-needed belongings to people. But over time, two sellers have come to know eachother and have fallen in love, but neither has the guts to tell the other that they love eachother. I also think it's about how people will sell un-needed things, but they wont sell photographs, or cigarettes, because they hold these near and dear. even though in a day or so, a pack of cigarettes will be smoked, and over time, a photograph will fade, and the edges will fray. It's quite beautiful the way Kurt puts it all together in such a short (Lyrically) song. He makes it easy, and hard to understand at the same time. | |

| There is no hidden song. There's an Outtake [Old Age] And there's Something In The Way, with about 8 minutes of silent downtime, and then it leads into Endless, Nameless. There is no hidden track. And it will be extremely hard to find Bleach, In Utero, and Nevermind on Vinyl. You'd Be hard pressed to find a rip of it on the internet. Let alone purchasing an actual vinyl. By the way.
