The Weepies – Living In Twilight Lyrics

I think this song is really sad... it seems to be talking about the gradual decline of a relationship. Starting to get numb somewhat like a zombie and always getting worse. I still like the song though. |

The Weepies – All Good Things Lyrics

this song reminds of the kind of breakup where the relationship was bad from the start. He was never the right guy from the start and she knew that but just held on for whatever reason we hang on to bad relationship for. She acknowledges the good side of the relationship and that there was still some good fun in it. So why do we still feel bad when a bad relationship is finally over? |

I agree with goldengirl that this sort of a sad song. She seems to be singing to someone that she absolutely fallen head over heels for and still wait and yearns for him. They don't end up together but she still hopes because Christmastime is a season of perpetual hope. I still love this song. |

I think its about about aging and dying.
Some elders feel ‘useless’ because they are no longer able to contribute either to the home or society. Say goodbye to the gracefulness and agility of youth, look up at the dark blue sky and pick out which star you’ll be in heaven... just a thought.
Beautiful song.

The Weepies – Little Bird Lyrics

As I read and listened to the song again, it may be more about schitzophrenia...
In the verses there are lines of paranoia, audio hallucinations, disorganized thoughts, multiple personality, delusion, depression and "loosing it." Sung from the view of a schitophrenic to someone who sees them as precious.
I love the Weepies! Their lyrics are so poetic and music beautifully scored. |
