Panic! at the Disco – Nine In The Afternoon Lyrics | 15 years ago |

The Fray – You Found Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think he's trying to say that god was doing other stuff when he should have been helping him. (eg. Smoking) and he uses smoking because it makes god seem lower and not as good as people think he is. |
Vanessa Carlton – A Thousand Miles Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Okay I could be completely worng, and it could just have the semi shallow and easy-to-get meaning of doing anything for your partner, but it could be about a broken up couple, and the girl still really loves him and will do anything to see him, but she can't because he doesn't want her anymore. She wants to hold him and see him but she can't, not because of distance, she would walk a thousand miles for him, but she can't. Again I could be completely wrong, just an idea :) |
Marianas Trench – Cross My Heart Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I actually think he's on the road and missing her and is sad he isn't able to see her more often. "Hotels are all the same, you're still away from me Another day, another dollar that I'll never see Can I get a piece of, piece of, piece of something good I'd like just a little, like just a little, like just a I wonder what you're doing, I wonder if you doubt it I wonder how we used to ever go so long without it Now I know where I go I'm coming back to you I'll be where I oughta, be where I oughta" |
Hedley – Old School Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is such an amazing song. The writing is very clever, the way they grow up through the verses and chorus' as well. It's such a good song. I heard it on the radio and loved it but missed who it was by and what it was called, and then my friend got it for me on my iPod and now I listen to it all the time :D |
Metro Station – Shake It Lyrics | 15 years ago |
sorry, just you ;) |
Good Charlotte – I Don't Wanna Be In Love (Dance Floor Anthem) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
yeah you're correct, another clue is that he says, "Go out there and find someone," and "don't ruin your chance, to find a new one" Good job getting it ;) |
Chris Daughtry – Crashed Lyrics | 15 years ago |
He's saying that he had a terrible and lost life, and then he met this girl who could have killed him/really hurt him, but saved him instead. He needs her, but if he stays with her she will just take all of him and she will be his life (you will consume me) but he can't bring himself to leave. I agree with First Aid...an, that's pretty much exactly it. |
The Last Goodnight – Pictures of You Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I could be dead wrong, but this song could have a partially religious meaning to it, but mostly it is just about life. (the meanings I have gathered are from myself and a few others, and from reading other peoples opinions on this site ;) This is the clock upon the wall This is the story of us all -Everyone going through life This is the first sound of a newborn child Before he starts to crawl -Beginning of life This is the war that's never won This is a soldier and his gun This is the mother waiting by the phone Praying for her son -We can't possibly win a war, because we are fighting against our own race. No matter how hard we fight we will always loose in one sense. Chorus: Pictures of you Pictures of me Hung upon your wall for the world to see Pictures of you Pictures of me Remind us all of what we used to be -Looking back at before, wishing that the past could come back. Possibly looking at someone who died or a couple before they broke up. There is a drug that cures it all Blocked by the governmental wall We are the scientists inside the lab Just waiting for the call -I think this part means that the cure of all ailments is god and/or love, and the govornment is clouding us with greed and money, and they are just waiting for everyone to realize this. This earthquake weather has got me shaking inside I'm high up and dry -The whole world is in trouble, but because he has god and/or love, he is okay. Chorus: Pictures of you Pictures of me Hung upon your wall for the world to see Pictures of you [Pictures of you] Pictures of me Remind us all of what we used to be -Same as above, looking back at the past. Bridge: Confess to me Every secret moment Every stolen promise you believed Confess to me All that lies between us All that lies between you and me -Confess to god or your higher self We are the boxers in the ring We are the bells that never sing There is a title we can't win no matter How hard we might swing -Probably again going back to the war, you can't possibly win it while fighting against your own race, and the bells never sing; the fight never ends. Chorus: Pictures of you [Pictures of you] Pictures of me Hung upon your wall for the world to see Pictures of you {Pictures of you] Pictures of me [Of me] Remind us all of what we could have been [Could have been] -Regretting the past, reminded of what could have been Pictures of you [Pictures of you] Pictures of me Hung upon your wall for the world to see [World to see] Pictures of you Pictures of me Remind us all of what we could have been [Could have been] Could have been We could have been [Could have been] -Same Pictures of you [Pictures of you] Pictures of me [Of me] Remind us all of what we could have been [Could have been] Could have been -More regretting the past I hope I don't get critisized for my take on the song, it's just what I think :) |
