Destiny's Child – Bills, Bills, Bills Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is about how at first, when she started dating the guy, eh really wanted to impress her, so he was buying her stuff, and taking care of her. Then, he stopped trying to impress her, and started getting too comfortable with her, and stopped taking care of her. So, she's asking why he stopped, and whether he's really as great as he appeared to be in the beginning.. which he definitely isn't. I really like this song... mostly Destiny's Child in Beyoncé in general. |
New Young Pony Club – Jerk Me Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think this song is about sex.. no strings attached, no relationships involved, etc. No romance.. just sex. |
of Montreal – Gallery Piece Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This is definitely a song about the ups and downs of love.. how one minutes you want to be someone's love and the next moment you want to hurt their pride. Actually, it probably isn't JUST about love.. it could probably be about any relationship. I mean, of course, love is probably the best interpretation of what relationship he's talking about, but, really, you could apply this randomness of thoughts about someone to any relationship. |
Cadence Weapon – In Search Of The Youth Crew Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I have a feeling this song is just a recollection of someone's summer (probably Rollie's, but you never know...). He had his "crew" and all of these memories like of girls and his old barber shop or whatever... And the part at the end is sort of like another memory that kind of relates to his past. |
The Hold Steady – Chillout Tent Lyrics | 15 years ago |
This song is good, I think.. I really like how the male and female vocals contrast with Craig Finn's. It has kind of a creepy/eerie feeling to me, though. I really like it. |
New Young Pony Club – Hiding on the Staircase Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Well, it's been bitching," is actually "Well, you've been bitching," I think this song is about two people , most likely the kids in the family, watching their parents arguing while they're hiding on the staircase. They can tell that separation is in the distance based on how their parents are arguing so much.. |
of Montreal – A Sentence of Sorts in Kongsvinger Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I agree, I think that this song definitely sounds like the perfect description of a person with depression. I really like how of Montreal has a way of making it upbeat and happy-sounding, though, even though the lyrics say otherwise. It's like they're trying not to put someone who is already depressed in an even worse by listening to a song they can relate to... |
Matt Wertz – Carolina Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think he's asking this girl to ask him if he's really not as serious about the girl he's singing about as he thinks. He has a tendency to look at a girl and have that instantaneous feeling that makes him fall in love, or develop a crush, and he often just is in it for the chase.. to see if he can steal her heart. But he's asking for forgiveness ahead of time before things get too serious, and she realizes he might have just been playing games with her. |
Flobots – Handlebars Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I think that these lyrics are trying to show how anyone can do anything these days... Like, a long time ago, none of these things were possible, and a lot of people probably still would look at you like you were crazy if you said that you could do all of these things. But, technically, one person really can, even if it doesn't seem possible to begin with. Nothing is truly impossible. |
