The Cure – Disintegration Lyrics 13 years ago
This song has some of the most intense, and some of my favorite, lyrics ever. I think it's pretty obviously about break-up, especially considering the title.

Tool – H. Lyrics 13 years ago
I've always loved this verse. It seems like he's realizing and accepting his fate, and he doesn't see it as a bad thing. He's coming to terms with the fact that he's going to have ups and downs, and even eventually die, but it's all right. I love how soft his voice is in the background at the end of it because I think it really puts emphasis on the emotion behind it. It's like the quiet voice is his acceptance of his fate, and the loud voice is his will to keep living.

And as the walls come down and
As I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade
Recalling all of the times
I have died
and will die
It's all right
I don't mind
I don't mind
I don't mind

Radiohead – Morning Mr. Magpie Lyrics 13 years ago
Yeah, you're right. I submitted the correct lyrics before the song was up, but I guess Acherus had already submitted his own and they were pending at the time. I wish they had accepted mine, because I had the correct lyrics.

Crystal Castles – Untrust Us Lyrics 13 years ago
Su can also mean your, assuming the speaker is using usted to address you, rather than tu. Which in this song makes more sense than saying 'the cocaine is not good for his/her/it's health"

Radiohead – Bloom Lyrics 13 years ago
It sounds like he's either saying "the universal sigh" or "the universe'll (universe will) sigh"

It's kinda hard to know either way until someone gets some official lyrics.

Radiohead – Lotus Flower Lyrics 13 years ago
I agree, it is feed. You should change that, and then post your interpretation as a new song on here called Lotus Flower (The King Of Limbs Version) or something of the sort. I'm not sure that whoever posted this is going to come back and change it, as it's been nearly two years.

LilRyan, Ed doesn't sing this one, Dan does.

Grizzly Bear – Colorado Lyrics 14 years ago
--I totally agree with you elec_trick. Maybe I just want to believe that such a beautiful song is about something deeper than technology, but it seems to me that it's talking about love. Love seems to be a recurring theme in Grizzly Bear's music, especially in the songs that Ed writes.

Grizzly Bear – Colorado Lyrics 14 years ago
---That is a good point. By saying with, he's implying that it might have been his own fault. There may have been something to cling to, but he wasn't able to.

Grizzly Bear – On a Neck, On a Spit Lyrics 14 years ago
=== And it almost sounds like he says something entirely different than "Out here no one can hear me." The emphasis he puts on the words is odd.

Grizzly Bear – On a Neck, On a Spit Lyrics 14 years ago
--I just started thinking about this one as well, and it made me happy to think of the lines "Each day spend it with you now/All my time..." because he sounds happy, like he can finally be with whoever he's talking about, but I haven't really made sense of the "Out here no one can hear me."

Grizzly Bear – Marla Lyrics 14 years ago
----I can't find it at the moment, but I read an interview with Dan and Ed and they said that this song was originally entirely written by his aunt Marla, they just slowed it down and changed it a little bit. They said that the lyrics and the tune were the same as the original.

Pixies – Where Is My Mind? Lyrics 14 years ago
I really hope you're kidding. You've gotta be. Sparta consists of half of what used to be At The Drive-In. The other half is now The Mars Volta. You've gotta be kidding.

Somebody should correct the lyrics. Toolfan's are the correct ones.

It's probably because I heard this version before the Frengers version, but I like this one better.

The Receiving End Of Sirens – This Armistice Lyrics 15 years ago
I wouldn't normally associate "shell" with power and energy. I see a shell as something that contains another thing, that protects it, but can also hold it back. I think that's what they mean when they say passive shell, it's the control of the brain over the body, protecting it from making rash actions at the will of the heart.

It's passive because it naturally dictates what the body does, but because it acts as a shell to certain wills and desires, it holds him back.

Mew – Am I Wry? No Lyrics 15 years ago
Amazing song, and I think it describes, like MortalWombat said, a failed relationship. One of those relationships that means everything to you, but the other person starts to seem uninterested, "indifference is killing me". Then the title of the song comes into play when the narrator begins to feel as if they've done something wrong to make the other person lose interest, pinning the blame on himself, wondering "Am I Wry?". I think the "No" is a way of stating that it isn't really the narrator's fault. Does seem similar to 156, as said above.

Just my interpretation of an amazing song that I can't get enough of. I'd really love to see Mew live someday.

Radiohead – Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong Lyrics 15 years ago
This song seems to speak of infatuation to me. When a girl comes along and a guy might not even really love her, but is infatuated with her, and she has him "under her spell". So when she walks away, it crushes the guy's spirit. Been through this situation myself, as almost every other male has, or will have at some point.
