I like your comment it agreed exactly with what I think. I am also British and a huge fan of Neil Young and think he is under-rated. I find it quite ironic that the people who are trying to sound as if nothing happened worthy of writing a song about are the people who prove themselves to be prejudiced. I actually laughed out loud when I read about him saying nothing good came out of Canada. |

I love this song. It has awesome lyrics and I think the fact that people are arguing over it shows that it must be a pretty powerful song. Although, I think it is dumb that people have to argue over it. Racism happens everywhere but in the south, it was fairly bad. That is all the song is saying. It is not trying to accuse every southerner of being a racist as that would be untrue. There were also probably quite a few racist Yankees as well, but not to the same scale. Why do you have to argue over it? Neil Young is merely stating his opinion on it all, which I also happen to agree with. And, can you really call him a Yankee, because he's Canadian? |

This song is about how the media is so obsessed with sex. It is everywhere and it seems to be taken too lightly. Wherever you go, there is some form of advertisement which refers to sex and yet people seem to ignore the true preciousness of it. |

I always thought that this song was about how people are so self-centred that they don't like people going against what they think, even though its wrong. Martin Luther King Jr. was completely right but the world wasn't ready to accept him because they didn't like his ideas. |
