I think this one is kind of an extended metaphor that deals with both the concept of the album and people who take it too hard.
What I mean is, Its about all those poets, musicians and others who do too much. They're so great, but they cant deal with all of what they're producing and they burn up. I guess my best example is the author Jack london. He wrote a LOT of stuff, and Is still known as a great author, but he died so young because he refused to take it easy somtimes. |

This song is about the Death of Baldr, son of Odin. Baldr was invincible to anyone and everything except the plant mistletoe. The Norse gods used to practice their combat skills and aim on him since he couldent be hurt. One day Loki helped Baldr's blind brother, Hod, to aim his arrow at Baldr. However, Loki had found out the secret to Baldr's immortality and gave Hod an arrow of mistletoe, killing Baldr. Thats essentially the first verse.
The second verse is just Odin being pissed at Loki. |

This song is just a good all around epic pirate drinking song. I wouldn't really give much meaning to the lyrics besides what they state plainly as an awesome formula for life: Get drunk, bang chicks. Wake up, Go on a mighty quest. Rinse and repeat. |
